Dear FOP Community,
We are grateful for each of you and excited to share with you our fourth Fields of Plenty newsletter.
The holiday season is now fully under way. Thanksgiving arrived with many reasons to be thankful. We are blessed with wonderful friends, family, collaborators, and mentors. We know the mission we have is bigger than us. And we are truly grateful for every one of you who have supported us in a number of ways--and encouraged us to keep going. We don’t know exactly where this journey will take us, but we are grateful for the ride.
We specifically want to thank our SCORE mentor Dave, who is not only a wonderful business advisor, but possibly our most enthusiastic fan. Dave, your encouragement has been tremendous. And we also want to thank those who have trusted us with telling your stories. Each and every one of you. We are truly honored to give you a platform and pray your story helps others as well.
This month, you’ll want to be sure to check out Marion’s “Healing Through Grief” interview below. Also, don’t miss her daughter Ta’Sha’s guest blog, sharing why she felt the need to do an interview with us and what she’s learned from her journey through grief and other battles along the way.
Last but not least, please fill out this form to share your feedback on our newsletter. We would be grateful for your input, as we plan for next year.

We’re actively seeking partnerships to expand our project as well. Do you represent a community with stories of grief and healing to share? We’d love to hear from you too.
FAVORITE THINGS
Here is our growing list of recommendations for movies, books & other things we like…
- Movie rec: The Pursuit of Happyness, based on the true story of Chris Gardner, a single dad, struggling with homelessness while trying everything he can to give his young son a good life. Read more of Asher’s thoughts about the movie here, and tell us what you think! If you’ve seen the movie, what’s one thing that stayed with you after watching it–or reading the book it’s based on?
- Book rec: Creative Confidence. It’s more than a self-help book aimed to boost your confidence–it’s a real-world roadmap to make you think more strategically and overcome the fears and other obstacles stopping you. Read more about what Maria got from the book/audiobook here. And let us know what one problem you want to solve, one baby step at a time, starting today.
BLOG
We started a blog to share updates and reflections from our own journeys. But also to help you, members of our community, open up and tell your story.
Want to share from your heart with our community? Let us know! Check out our latest blogs--both guest articles penned by members of our community.
