STORIES OF Hope - A LEGACY OF LOVE 🌻

Dear FOP Community,

How is this new year treating you?

We want to pull back the veil and let you in on a little secret. As you may know, we’re taking a break from our regularly scheduled programming to inventory each of our activities and cast a fresh, fruitful vision for the year. That includes doing these newsletters, which we plan to resume when we have key, important updates or content to share–but still at a respectful pace. 🕰️

In light of current events, we want to ask each of you to join our mission in your own community, in your own way. Our philosophy: not just that each one of us has a story to tell, which takes time & intention to uncover, but that storytelling is a threefold healing act: (1) for the storyteller, (2) for the storyteller’s family & community, and (3) for strangers who need to hear their story. 👂📣

What we hope, from the consulting and production services we offer to the projects we are developing in-house, is that each of these stories brings healing, hope and purpose into the world. And…that they help us all learn to love and treat one another better–those in our circle and those outside of it. That is a legacy worth striving for. 💖

PROJECTS

We have some exciting developments with TV and film projects we’re working on. 📺

For the limited series we’re developing, we were recently assigned a pro bono attorney through Lawyers for the Creative Arts. We are super excited for our lawyer Aaron’s enthusiasm and background in entertainment. More project details to come later... 😉

As for our feature project, Mercy Road, a gifted actress and a well-known script doctor both requested to read the script. Each of these requests encourages us to keep taking steps forward, with faith that there’s an audience out there waiting to see this movie—in a theater, and in community. 📽️🍿

BLOG

Since we have been busy with our projects (and making ends meet), we don’t have a new blog for you. But in case you missed this before, we would love for you to check out our last personal blog. We hope it inspires you!

FAVORITE THINGS

Here is our growing list of recommendations for movies & other things we like…

Movie Rec: "Hamnet" (2025)

That’s not a typo, but it is said to have been interchangeable for the name used in Shakespeare’s most well-known tragedy. Tissue shortage aside, read here for why we can’t wait to see this movie again.

Author Quote: This comes from "A Guardian and a Thief" author Megha Majumdar in her interview with The Harvard Gazette about this unforgettable novel. Read here for Maria's review.
